Mistra Urban Futures participates at World Urban Forum 6 in Naples, Italy
Mistra Urban Futures will participate and have a variety of engagements during World Urban Forum 6 in Naples, 1-7 September. World Urban Forum 6 is organized jointly by UN-Habitat, the Government of Italy, the Campania Region and the City of Naples. The theme for this year's meeting is The Urban Future and more than 10,000 people will attend. From Mistra Urban Futures representatives from all five local platforms will attend the meeting.
Key messages
Mistra Urban Futures will display the following key messages at World Urban Forum 6 :
• The number of people is growing in the world and especially people living in cities are increasing rapidly. Consequently there is a need for new knowledge how to build cities that are just and prosperous, green and healthy, livable and effective.
• Mistra Urban Futures is a global center for sustainable urban development.
• Mistra Urban Futures focuses on creating Fair, Green and Dense cities.
• We see co-production of the knowledge as a winning concept to meet coming urban challenges.
• In close co-operation practitioners and researcher’s focuses on producing knowledge that enables development of sustainable cities.
• Mistra Urban Futures plays an active role in the international network of knowledge and innovation platforms for future urban development.
