Collaboration student exchange

Students and PhD candidates constitute an excellent resource and opportunity in the knowledge processes as well as in dissemination of research and collaboration between academy and practice. istra Urban Futures supports a number of PhD projects, some of which also include collaborative work between PhD students at different local platforms.

In 2017, a PhD collaboration between Kisumu and Gothenburg platforms was finalised. The efforts to develop livelihood and income through tourism offers in the Kisumu area, primarily along the beaches at Lake Victoria, became the framework of several activities.
